Generated pictures

What it does

Type what the shot should show — "six egrets in a mangrove at dawn" — from the library or from the director, and a picture is made and filed under your brand.

It is an ordinary asset from then on: you can drag it onto a scene, the director can propose it, and describe can label it.

The standard behind it

• A generated picture is trusted exactly as much as one from a phone, which is to say not at all until the render plane has probed and normalised it. It enters the same promotion every upload does; there is no shortcut for machine-made bytes.
• It is named by what you asked for, tidied, rather than by a filename — the prompt is the best label a picture can start with, and it is kept as the description so the director can match on it before the picture has been looked at.
• The model can decline. When nothing comes back, you are told in a sentence, and no empty asset is left in the library.
• Stills only, for now. A clip takes minutes and is an operation to wait on, and will be its own control rather than a flag on this one.
